Works by former Artpace residents will serve as examples of artful repurposing for “Recycle, Reuse, Reinvent,” the institution’s seventh-annual Family Day and block party. While the Conjunto Heritage Taller (1 p.m.), singer/songwriter Nicolette Good (1:45 p.m.), and the Fox Tech Wind Ensemble (2:30 p.m.) entertain from the courtyard, associate educators will lead ten-minute tours (1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.) of the “International Artist-In-Residence 11.1” exhibition. Young artists in the making can put their imaginations to good use in a variety of “Creation Stations” focused on sculpture, photography, collage, and drawing, or learn from eco-minded, artist-led workshops that are (fortunately) also open to adults. Free, 1-4:30pm, Artpace, 445 N Main, (210) 212-4900, artpace.org.
