So what's Price talking about anyway? TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to 'ideas worth spreading.' Starting out in 1984 as a conference bringing together people from the worlds of technology, entertainment, and design, the events are now held all over the globe.
A volunteer group of organizers, including Price, is staging the 2nd annual TEDx San Antonio (x is for independent), a local version of TED events. Seventeen of the brightest minds in the San Antonio community will light up the stage at the Jane and Arthur Stieren Theater at Trinity University on October 15.
I know all the speakers will feed my head, but I'll post after the event on the several who are associated with nonprofits and philanthropy.
If you want to see what TED talks are about there are about 900 speakers on their website.
