Last Day To Buy Your #SPURSHEAD Shirt is Today

Damien Velasco, founder of Sharpen Up Graphics, got the idea from novelty shirts. But he never saw it done for a sports team before. “I wanted something that was going to be unique and get the fans as close as possible to the Spurs,” Velasco said.

And that’s exactly what happened during at a fateful game last week with a handful of screaming Tims, Manus, and Tonys in the Alamo Drafthouse (Westlakes) with him. “It was really crazy. Pretty much through the whole game people were pulling their shirts over their heads in the theater."

Tony Parker’s mom herself stopped by to purchase one of each to give to the big three, and Velasco hopes to see them wearing the shirts. He’s thinking of doing versions featuring other Spurs, like Danny Green or a sad LeBron face for his next design.

Today is the last day that fans can purchase #SPURSHEAD shirts at Ace Screen Graphics (5712 Kenwick), the screenprinting shop Velasco works at. They cost $20 cash and will be available until 6:30 p.m.
