Alamo Hackfest Takes Over Geekdom on Saturday

Calling all Coke-bottle glasses wearing, argyle sweater-clad Star Wars die-hards! Join your fellow San Antonian programmers and hackers from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, July 20 for an day filled with coding and geekery at San Antonio's premier co-working space, Geekdom.

Construct a new site, hack into your weekend project, or dive into a new programming language–all is fair in love and nerd-ism. Nevertheless, come ready to share your programming brilliance!

The goal of the event is to build something cool, that's it. Tap into the insight of your fellow Alamo City programmers and get to work on that clever idea that you’ve been holding out on, or tackle a special project for a few hours. Awesome prizes will be awarded to hackers with outstanding skill and technical merit.

Lunch and snacks will be graciously provided by Geekdom and all participants will receive an Alamo Hackfest T-Shirt! Also, mention to the Weston Centre garage (off Soledad) you’re attending Hackfest and free parking will be provided.

— Toni Guarrino

9:00 a.m.: Doors open, light refreshments.  Meet your fellow coders and hackers.

10:00 a.m.: Hackathon begins!

12:00 p.m.: Lunch is served.

6:00 p.m.: Event ends.
