Do you still have any doubts that the September 14 fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr and Saúl "Canelo" Álvarez will be the biggest fight in history? Get this: Mayweather is guaranteed a purse of $41.5 million, and that doesn't count his percentage for pay-per-view sales. It will be his biggest payday since his $45 million check after the Robert Guerrero fight earlier this year (counting TV sales), and the biggest since Evander Holyfield's $33 million for his rematch with Mike Tyson in 1997. Canelo, on the other hand, would have a guaranteed purse of "only" $10-$12 million, according to unofficial rumors in the boxing world.
If you don't mind a philthy rich dude flaunting money at you, here's Episode 3 of Showtime's All Access featuring Mayweather and Canelo. (You can watch Chapter 1 here and Chapter 2 here)
