Bonehead Quote of the Week: Bobbie Mueller on Miley Cyrus

One local mom's crusade to protect San Antonio youth involves shielding them from the crude atrocity that is a Miley Cyrus concert.

Bobbie Mueller is asking the City to implement a "foul-language” ordinance she helped champion a decade ago, reported the Express News earlier this week. The rule penalizes guardians who allow unaccompanied children under 14 years old to attend performances considered obscene at city-owned facilities with a Class C misdemeanor, resulting in a fine of at least $50 and up to $200.

Per the ordinance, "obscene" can mean: anal copulation; bestial sexual relations; sadistic, masochistic or violent sexual relationships; sexual relations with a child; sexual relations with a corpse; exhibition of male or female genitals; rape or incest a vulgar or indecent reference to sexual intercourse, excretory functions of the body, or male or female genitals.

“Miley’s concert goes beyond obscene,” said Mueller (so, beyond what is listed above), pointing to “dwarfs in fitted body suits,” “dwarfs with black gloves that enter her buttocks, simulating sodomy,” and “phallic symbols that she rides like a pony.”

But it turns out, Mueller, who testified before the Commissioners Court, didn't seem to be talking to the right audience.

The county doesn't share the ordinance and although it does own the AT&T Center (where Cyrus is set to perform this weekend), the Spurs Entertainment company operate the facility.

Maybe the $160 she shelved out for Cyrus tickets (to, of course, criticize the performance later) could be better spent on something that could actually protect kids...bike helmets? vitamins? sunscreen? raincoats?
