Here’s a chance to shake off some bad juju from too much Fiesta polluting and declutter your pad at the same time. Thursday, April 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Goodwill and the San Antonio River Authority (SARA) are hosting a recycling jamboree. And prizes, there will be prizes to win, like the coveted Goodwill Fiesta Medal.
Consider any one of the 30 day minimalist challenges that pepper the blogosphere, and you’ll likely find yourself willing to part with something like a sack of clothes, a bread machine, and a CD player, and hell, the TV, too.
You can drop off any used clothing, household items, and electronics at these four Goodwill locations:
This is also the perfect time to come clean and cut the cord with the plastic bag – that whole stash of them in the back of your pantry. SARA will take them for you, no questions asked. Do it. Rid yourself of the bad karma that may haunt you if one of your finger-printed plastic bags finds it way into the San Antonio River. Remember, Earth Day is next Tuesday, and recycling and reusing is just obviously the neighborly SA-spirit thing to do. #GoGreenGo
