Oh, holy hell. First it comes for our Blue Bell ice cream, now listeria monocytogenes is going after our mashed chick peas, the healthy thing we eat to make us feel good about ourselves.

Sabra announced yesterday that a the threatening bacteria, which has made headlines in recent weeks for being linked to Blue Bell Ice Cream products, was detected in its Classic Hummus during a routine inspection. A nationwide voluntary recall has already been issued, and H-E-B has already pulled the products from its shelves.

Thirty thousand cases have been recalled, but the action is limited to 5 SKU's which Sabra has listed on its website. To date the have been no reports of anyone falling ill due to eating contaminated Sabra products.
