VIA Metropolitan Transit
Via Metropolitan Transit launched a survey.
San Antonio likes to plan.
Sometimes it feels like we even form plans to study planning.
However, the Alamo City is rapidly changing and anticipating a population of 1.1 million future residents arriving here by 2040. And as we all already know, the highways are packed and congestion is already a real challenge faced in the city.
So it's no surprise that VIA Metropolitan Transit is looking for community input to update its Long Range Comprehensive Transportation Plan. VIA officials are calling the process to update the plan "Vision 2040."
And it starts with a survey
"Vision 2040 is a community-driven process with many opportunities for members of the public to provide us with input and suggestions," VIA President/CEO Jeff Arndt said in a press release. "This online survey is a great way for people to get involved in planning the future, and we are promoting it with a public outreach effort that includes social media, online content, and many community events."
The survey, which is active through July 4, is meant to see how San Antonio residents view public transportation and what enhancements they'd like future to bring.
