Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sits with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
We hop across the pond for this week's bonehead quote.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a speech to the Zionist Congress last Tuesday that genocidal maniac Adolf Hitler never wanted to exterminate Jews, he wanted to expel them, the New York Times reported
Netanyahu claimed the grand mufti of Jerusalem, a Palestinian, gave Hitler the idea to kill millions of European Jews.
The prime minister said that the mufti, Haj Amin al-Husseini, had protested to Hitler that “they’ll all come here,” referring to Palestine.
“ ‘So what should I do with them?’ ” Mr. Netanyahu quoted Hitler as asking Mr. Husseini. “He said, ‘Burn them.’ ”
His comments are so awful and so off the mark, that they actually brought Israeli historians and Palestinians together to denounce this stupidity.
