More than 50 years ago, 25-year-old Irene Garza's lifeless body was pulled from a Rio Grande Valley canal in McAllen. She'd been strangled.
Earlier this week, the longtime suspect in the murder, who is now an 83-year-old Arizona resident, John Feit, was indicted by a Hidalgo County grand jury and arrested, The Monitor reported.
The night Garza was killed, Feit was the last person to see her. She had gone to church to make a confession, which he took,

reports that Feit will fight extradition to Texas.
