Bexar County wasn't feeling the burn. Neither was Texas.

Democrat Hillary Clinton whomped Bernie Sanders by gaining more than 65 percent of the statewide vote compared to Sanders, who received just over 30 percent of votes in the state, to win Texas on Super Tuesday. That's reflective of Bexar County, too, where Clinton garnered nearly 67 percent of the vote to Sanders' 32 percent.

In addition to Texas, Clinton also won Arkansas, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Virginia and Massachusetts. Sanders won Colorado, Oklahoma, Vermont and Minnesota.

On the Republican side in Texas, Sen. Ted Cruz actually managed to beat Donald Trump, by a solid margin, nonetheless. Cruz secured nearly 44 percent of the Texas vote compared to Trump, who received nearly 27 percent of the vote. In Bexar County, Cruz grabbed nearly 41 percent of the Republican vote compared to Trump who garnered just over 24 percent.

The only other states Cruz won include Alaska and Oklahoma. Trump cruised to victory in the Deep South, winning Arkansas, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Virginia, Massachusetts and Vermont.
