Man Killed, Other Injured, After Being Shot at a Stop Sign in San Antonio

Update 12:30 p.m. October 17, 2017:

Bexar County deputies arrested 18-year-olds Michael Aguilar and Charles Robnett for the murder of Gary Barnhardt, the victim who died after being shot four times in the chest near a Northeast Side H-E-B just after 1 a.m. on Monday.

Aguilar had agreed to meet with Barnhardt and Albert Ramirez, the other passenger in the car who received a gunshot wound to the hand, to purchase marijuana, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.

After Ramirez handed Aguilar the weed, Ramirez saw Robnett pointing a gun at Barnhardt before he began to shoot. Robnett and Aguilar fled, and Ramirez managed to drive the car to a nearby H-E-B, where he called the police. Barnhardt died a few hours later.

Aguilar is facing a murder charge, and Robnett was charged with murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Two men were shot while waiting at a stop sign early Monday morning in the Northeast Side of Bexar County, killing one of them and wounding the other, according News4SanAntonio.

The victim who died was shot four times in the chest, and the other victim was shot once in his hand, according to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office.

The two 19-year-old victims told deputies they were at a stop sign at Lakebend East and Fountain Lake at around 1 a.m. when someone walked up to their car and began firing, according to News4SA.

Police are searching for two suspects, who are believed to be Hispanic males in their 20s. No arrests have been made yet, but the shooters would face murder and aggravated assault charges, according to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office.

After the gunshots, the two victims managed to pull into the parking lot of a nearby H-E-B on Farm-to-Market Road 78 to call for help.

The victim who suffered several gunshot wounds died a few hours later at San Antonio Military Medical Center. The victim who survived was taken to Northeast Baptist Hospital.
