This Note That Julian Castro Received Is Sparking Talk of Him Running for President Someday

by

Julian Castro may be out of his job as the United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development since President Barack Obama's departure from the White House, but that doesn't mean he's done making a splash in Washington D.C. Or that's what a flight attendant would like to believe.

Castro shared a photo on his Facebook page of a note he received from a flight attendant while flying out of Nashville. The note reads:

I know the day will come that you will run for the Presidency of our great nation so please know that myself & my household will spread the message & help your campaign to see the day you become our 1st Mexican American President. It was an honor to have yourself on my flight.

The anonymous flight attendant isn't alone in her sentiment. Since the photo was posted 12 hours ago, it's gotten nearly 4,000 reactions and hundreds of comments.

A woman named Stephanie Gotter wrote, "I have exactly the same sentiments. I have been following you for years. Just as I followed Obama for years then worked on his first campaign. I will do the same for you. Just waiting for you to take the leap! You have so many peoples’ support and love!"

Some people think Castro should start smaller, but only by a bit.

"Julian Castro you have to challenge Greg Abbott first before you make it to the National level," commented Julio Vazquez. "It's time to turn Texas blue."

But perhaps Alicie Simpson Moore said it best: "Your flight attendant speaks for so many of us. Hoping for change again....see what I did there?!"

Joaquin has also been the center of buzz about potentially running for governor in Texas, though nothing has been announced for sure. Time will tell for both of the brothers' next move in their careers.
