San Antonio council members: They're just like us.

District 4 Councilman Rey Saldaña posted a video to his social media pages that is hilariously relatable. Saldaña was walking out of his home with a carrot cake in hand when the container opened, causing the cake the splatter onto the pavement.

And it was caught on camera.

He shared the video with the caption:
So my mom makes this amazing carrot cake...and I’m set to walk into the office a hero. Then this 👇🏽 ¡Que Lastima!
And while the 5-second rule (or 10-second if you're brave) can be applied to a lot of foods, this cake wasn't one of them. Saldaña called it "a tragedy."

It's okay, Rey. It happens.
