A man was stabbed while waiting in the parking lot of a West Side H-E-B on Culebra Road early Friday morning, according to reports.

San Antonio police say a man in his 40s was waiting for a family member to get out of work around 2:30 a.m. when two men walked up to his truck and cut two of his tires. The victim told authorities that the men then tried to rob him, but that he fought back.

He was left with multiple stab wounds, including one in his back. Paramedics transported him to University Hospital for treatment. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

The suspects fled the scene in a white vehicle, though the victim was unable to provide any description of them. Police are investigating the incident.
