A man has been arrested after leading police on a chase that ended at Blanco Cafe.

And, no, he didn't treat officers to a plate of enchiladas for the trouble.

Police told News 4 San Antonio that the chase began after officers pulled over a driver of a black pickup truck around 12:30 a.m. Monday near Fresno Road and Fulton Avenue. The driver sped away from officers and reportedly turned off his headlights in an attempt to lose them.

Though the driver succeeded for a while, authorities eventually tracked the truck to Fulton and Blanco Road. The driver, however, had abandoned the vehicle.

Police suspected the driver fled on foot and deployed the department's helicopter to catch him. They eventually found the driver hiding out on the roof of Blanco Cafe.

The suspect has been charged with driving while intoxicated and evading arrest. His bond is unknown at this time.
