With new restauants and popping up each week in San Antonio, we don't blame you if you haven't been able to keep up. That's why we've put together this list of new eateries that have popped up this year that we can't get enough of.

Bubble Waffle Bar

Bud’s Rotisserie

Bud’s Rotisserie, recently opened as an installment of The Bottling Department Food Hall, takes a contemporary angle on classic Southern dishes. This spot features juicy rotisserie chicken and savory Louisiana-style porchetta, as well as a wide selection of accompanying sides.

El Bucanero's third location

San Antonio’s favorite seafood restaurant opened its third location this year off Marbach Road.

Fletcher’s Burgers

Sergio Remolina is perhaps the freshest face in the batch of restaurateurs to join the Food Hall, but his resume is equally impressive. Remolina left his position with the CIA to open Fletcher's, a casual joint that aims to deliver burgers made with quality ingredients. Brioche buns will be shipped in from Tribeca Ovens in New Jersey, chicken will come from Red Bird Farms and 100 percent grass-fed beef will be used for this endeavor. Expect three burgers, one crispy chicken sandwich, a hot dog and grilled cheese for the kiddos.

Fratello’s Downtown Cafe

Casual Italian fare with a delicious flair is back in the Downtown area. Fratello's Deli opened a second location inside the former home of O'liva Healthy Cuisine & Tasting Room earlier this year.

Kung Fu Kitchen

Don’t be fooled by this kitchen’s small set-up; its Chinese-style cuisine is big in flavor. Kung-fu kitchen has a wide variety of menu items, which include everything from burgers and flatbreads to dim sum and stir-fry.

Local Coffee's two new locations

The coffee gods blessed us with Local Coffee in 2009 and San Antonio hasn't been the same since. With more then a handful of third-wave coffee shops in the city, Local Coffee is still leading the pack in growth.

Lucky Noodle

The Kungfu Noodle empire has expanded ever so slightly with the opening of Lucky Noodle, opened by the son of the KFN owners. The new location is almost palatial when compared to its predecessor off Bandera Road, and features more than 1,500 square feet of seating and open kitchen area (so you can watch the noodles being pulled and stretched.

Cafe Martinez

Sam’s Boat

The San Antonio spot joined locations in Austin, Cypress, Lake Conroe, Seabrook and the original Richmond location on January 30. Expect to find lunch staples such as fish and shrimp baskets for lunch, along with Tex-Mex, burgers, sandwiches and Gulf-inspired specials.

Scratch Kitchen

Scratch, which opened its doors for the first time in San Antonio in March, is located in a restored historic home in the Alta Vista neighborhood. Unable to resist the allure of fresh baked goods, you’ll probably find yourself stopping this spot pretty often in months to come.

Andrew Weissman, no stranger to high-end culinary concepts, steadfastly denies that Signature, his spare-no-expense new restaurant on the flanks of La Cantera’s golf greens (the building itself a former golf “academy”), is a fine-dining establishment. There are no tablecloths on the gleaming, recycled-wood tabletops, he asserts; the prices are below those of most such restaurants (tellingly true when compared to high-end steakhouses); and, it should be noted that the sommelier (maybe we should just call him the wine guy) may be suited but he is also tieless. Oh, and there’s a burger, albeit Wagyu, on the menu.

The Denver-based, all-breakfast-foods-all-the-time chain, will opened its doors March 1 inside the former EZ's Brick Oven and Grill at The Quarry. With menu items that such as breakfast pot pie and pineapple upside down pancakes, this place has easily become a favorite among San Antonians.

La Panaderia — Houston St. Location

More than a year after announcing its intentions to open a second location in the former home of Toscana Ristorante, La Panadería opened its doors with almost twice as much square footage, a gleaming new kitchen, new menu items and seating for just about any occasion, be it date night, family gathering or quick work-day lunch.

The city's north side will gained a taste of New Orleans this summer when Walk-On's Bistreaux & Bar opened. Co-owned by Drew Brees (of New Orleans Saints fame) as of 2015, Walk-On's was launched in 2003 by college pals Brandon Landry and Jack Warner in Baton Rouge.

Periphery on Main

Like Beat Street Coffee Co. and The Old Main Assoc. before it, a new restaurant has found a home at 2512 N. Main Ave. This time, chef Mark Weaver, formerly of Tre Trattoria is hoping to entice the neighborhood with Periphery on Main, which opened in February of this year.

Steel City Pops

Steel City Pops is a privately owned popsicle company opened its first location in Homewood, Alabama (a suburb of Birmingham) in 2012. Since them owner Jim Watkins and co. have expanded across Alabama, Tennessee and now Texas with 22 total stores in the forecast by the end of the year.
